Stop listening to that evil voice

Okay, yes. I struggle every year with some of the worst seasonal depression, ever. I struggle with losing control of my own mind. I recently woke up after what felt like a month-long hibernation deep in the sleeping chambers of the Devil’s condo. Yeah, that’s obnoxiously descriptive. Deal with it. Ha!
Nevertheless, there’s something strange and haunting about how far the mind can drift when things start unraveling. Whether it’s from life circumstances, chemical imbalances, or just the sheer weight of existing—sometimes it feels like I’m a passenger on a ghost train headed nowhere.
But here’s what keeps me grounded:
Laughing at the absurd.
Making weird jokes at midnight.
Telling the darkness, “Nice try, but I’m still here.”
Loving myself even when I don’t feel lovable.
There’s power in being able to say, “Yeah, this is dark. But I’m still going to make jokes about it.” That’s not denial—it’s defiance. That’s how I reclaim control.
We don’t always talk about the messy stuff. But I do. Because someone out there needs to hear it.
You’re not alone in the dark. I’m there too, with coffee in one hand and sarcasm in the other.
No shame in looking for help
