Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening.
I wish everyone an incredible Happy new Years as we bring in 2026 with renewed and refreshed hearts.
Are you returning back to the gym? Breaking a habit? Taking more time with your passions or loved ones? Tell me in a comment. I want to hear your voice.
I’ve taken it upon myself to delete Facebook. I’ve had a profile for over 16 years. That’s a long time. A long time to build memories, connect with people all around the world, make incredible and long-lasting relationships with folks in different countries, you name it.
However, the Facebook I know today is surely not the same platform it once was over 10+ years ago. It’s changed. So much has infected it into being an intoxicating stage for political and hateful banter, nonsense, scams, spam unlike no other, and ads, ads, ads.
I guess, well, I’ve had it. I can not endure doom scrolling another second. Stopping myself from opening the app, typing in the URL on Chrome, it’s an addiction.
This needs to go. You know, though… I am relieved. In less than 30 days, I will no longer have that associations, those ties to toxic sources, or, the feeling or desire to broadcast every little thing onto a platform that forces it’s users to pay for reach, anyways…
Just like any addiction, I know it will have its withdrawal moments for me, but, I am prepared and happily embracing them. The outcomes are so much larger than these tiny moments.
This gives me so much more room to focus on developing apps with Claude Code, time with my music, production for TikTok or YouTube, etc. I will have Instagram for sharing photos for the music business, but, my personal ties have been severed. Practicing gratitude with these big decisions.
Hitting the gym more, dieting bit by bit, spending more time at the office, and giving attention and recognition to what and who matters most.
What are some of your own goals, both professional and personal, that you have set for yourself this year? I invite your contribution and voice to the blog.
Stay groovy, and know that you matter. Every day.
Tony
